Yakima Pediatric Associates (YPA) is a primary
care specialty that is limited to the care of patients from birth through adolescence (generally through the age of 18 years). We do not deliver babies or do any surgery; however, we will be happy to recommend any needed consultants
in these or other specialties. All pediatricians
in the office have completed at least three years training in pediatrics after medical school and have qualified as members of the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition, the physicians and office staff are continually involved in continuing
educational activities with the YPA mission
in mind:
• To promote and provide quality health care to the pediatric community in a nurturing environment
for the patients and the patient care team members.
Each pediatrician in the office desires and will attempt to provide complete and individualized care to his/her patients. Every attempt will be made to provide you service from your pediatrician.
If, however, he/she is not available, every effort will be made for your child to receive care from one of the other pediatricians, physician assistant, or pediatric nurse/practitioner in the office and your physician will be kept fully informed
of your child’s condition and progress.
The physicians in our office share hospital duties
on a weekly basis. Each week, one of our physicians is assigned to care for hospitalized children and newborn babies, while the other physicians/providers are in the office. With this schedule, a doctor is always available to the patients
in the hospital and to the patients in the office.
We feel with this system we are able to provide
the best care for all of our patients. |
